Bass/Vocals
According to Josh, the first time he met Nate Bellon it was as if he'd apparated out of the misty fog on a train platform in Des Plaines, IL. Though now the "cool guy" jig is up (we've discovered his beloved collection of Robert Goulet albums), if you look closely you can still find the trench-coat and fedora wearing road warrior Nate of yore with a bass on his back, a tattered trumpet case in one hand and harmonicas in the other. Back when a guitar was too big for his three year-old body, his parents gave him a baritone ukulele which he still has today. His fingers began to wander, so to speak, and in his various musical adventures and exploits, Nate considered the piano, trumpet, french horn, trombone, tin whistle, harmonica, banjo and accordion before choosing the bass to focus on. It was there, in the basements of relatives, where Josh found yet another musician to bring his music to life. Nate's jazz/funk/blues inspired bass lines continue to explore the melodic and rhythmic universe, keeping the Empty Pockets' songs fresh. Some might even say groovy. But what he personally digs most about our music is that it's fun. More fun, in fact, than cloning Danny and forcing all the clones to fight to the death in an arena to please the Queen.

Official Title:
Band Mechanic
Our very own farmer, Nate takes care of the new (and some might say improved) "Pocket Rocket," our Josh and the Empty Pockets '03 Ford E 350. After the sudden and tragic death of our Dodge '77 Tradesman band van in a most distressing scene at a New Jersey mechanic, Nate has switched his tender love and care to our new veichle. Responsibilities include studying old manuals, rewiring, futzing, shmanoodling, vacuuming and coaxing Erika into varying degrees of her own safety. RIP old Pocket Rocket.
